You really can tweak forever...and the problem is...I do.

Don't feel bad. I watched my two minute showreel over and over for half a day until I tweaked every shot into the order I wanted. Be pedantic. If something stands out and you fix it, you just make your image stronger.
I hear what your saying...and I agree 100% ...but I think sometimes it can get a bit out of hand (with regards to how much time is spent working on the projects and also not sending these things out to be seen by the industry)...BUT, I think it all gets back to how these things are solo projects...and so naturally, I'm not going to be happy about how they look...(they're not being done to the standard I want) and so this is going to happen.
